Bear in mind that pirate boots for me aren't exactly daily wear, but they've certainly seen many, many long weekends of hard use and continue to serve me in admirable fashion. A boot jack, however, has become a required item in my luggage - after a long day of walking around in boots, they do NOT want to come off without a little extra prodding.
