Captain Who (not a question)

Dr. Who is going pirate, and this article proves it!

Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan takes on pirates and swings across a ship in new scenes

Yeah, so most of the shots are of his traveling companion, in what I have to say is not the most convincing pirate getup, but if you scroll down a bit you’ll see at least one shot of the good Dr. himself. That’s all well and good, but what I really want to see is the pirates raid the TARDIS liquor cabinet. I mean, can you even imagine a collection of booze from across time and space? I can, and let me tell you, the hangover is a doozy.

  1. Its about bloody time!

I wonder if the TARDIS liquor cabinet has any Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster in it?

  2. Wohoo! Doctor Who just gets better – first Romans, then steampunk (sorry, Bilge) and now pirates! God bless Whovians.

  3. Everyone still assumes I hate steampunks 😛

Seriously, I only get crabby when steampunks call themselves pirates, or pirates call themselves steampunks. Airship Pirates being the obvious exception to both. Too lovely genres that are clearly (to me, anyway) NOT one and the same.

Steampunks on Dr. Who? Sounds great – I’ll probably see it a year from now when I catch up on that part, where ever it is (still in season 3 right now.)
